Laurie
Moran joined Maher Williams in 2006. She began her legal career in 1996 as In-house Counsel for Liberty Mutual
Insurance Company at the Law Offices of Robert M. Brennan. She spent five years defending both workers' compensation
and personal injury cases. During this time, she handled multiple workers' compensation claims through to decision and
civil jury trials through to verdict.
Laurie continued her career at McHugh and Chapman where she pursued personal
injury and workers' compensation matters on behalf of plaintiffs/claimants. She has handled appeals to the
Compensation Review Board. Practicing on both sides of the civil and workers' compensation bar has provided Laurie
with valuable perspective when handling workers' compensation matters for Maher Williams.
Laurie served as trial
court clerk for the New Haven Superior Court in 1996 and served as an intern in Federal Court for The Honorable Joan Margolis
in 1993.
